C.L.A.S.S, Canine Life And Social Skills®, is a three-level assessment program for pet owners to test real-life skills with their canine companions. The three levels of the program are named after university degree programs: the B.A. (Bachelor’s level), the M.A. (Master’s level), and the Ph.D. (Doctorate level). Through successfully completing each C.L.A.S.S. level, pet owners can earn certificates with their dogs in Canine Life and Social Skills.

Course Duration: 6 Sessions (one hour per week)
Tuition Fees: $115 per dog

Bachelors Degree (B.A.) CLASS

B.A. Level Goal: Assess the core life skills of a dog/student team.

Skills taught:

  • Wait at the Door
  • Come and Leash Up Manners
  • Loose Leash Walking and Attention
  • Meet and Greet
  • Leave It
  • Wait for the Food Bowl
  • Stay
  • Settle
  • Give and Take

Age appropriate: 6 months and older
Prerequisite: Teen Time, Adult Basic and instructors referral

Masters Degree (M.A.) CLASS

M.A. Level Goal: Assess the life skills of a dog/student team with distractions.

Skills taught:

  • Wait in the car
  • Pass by other dogs
  • Wait at the door
  • Come and Leash up manners
  • Sit, Down, and Stand
  • Handling
  • Stay

Age appropriate: 6 months and older
Prerequisite: Bachelors Degree Class /Certification

Ph.D. Degree CLASS

Ph.D. Level Goal: Assess the performance reliability of a dog/student

Skills taught:

  • Loose Leash Walking and Attention
  • Back Up
  • Stay
  • Come and Leash Up Manners
  • Meet and Greet
  • Attention
  • Table Manners
  • Do you really know sit?

Age appropriate: 6 months and older
Prerequisite: Masters Degree Class/Certification
