Critters of the Night: A (Socially Distanced) Haunted History Tour of the Wildlife Center

October 30 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join us for an evening of creatures, history, and maybe even a few frights! This adults-only class will walk you through the history of the Wildlife Center campus, including local legends from the Penn Hills and Verona area. Learn about nocturnal creatures that live on campus and take a walking tour of the old Rosedale Pet Cemetery. Meet a live nocturnal animal and listen for its wild neighbors on our hike.

The walking tour will take the group through rough terrain including hills, uneven grass, and gravel/unpaved pathways. Though it will be an easy walk, we recommend wearing closed-toed shoes that are appropriate for hiking. Out of respect for the animals buried on the Wildlife Center Campus and their families, we will not be walking over any of the graves.

We will be viewing the presentation outside, so feel free to wear clothes appropriate for an evening outside and perhaps a blanket to keep warm. We ask that all participants wear a mask over their nose and mouth throughout the duration of the program and follow social distancing guidelines. We will provide hand sanitizer and ask that you only attend if you are feeling well enough to do so. We will happily refund your ticket if you are not feeling well, just reach out prior to the start of the program.
