Calling all Girl Scouts!

Looking for a way to complete your Get Outdoors Challenge for Winter? Look no further! We’ll be hosting a day for Scouts to come to our Wildlife Rehabilitation Center to check off some activities on their winter challenge list. Activities include

  • making a bird feeder (#23)
  • visit a nature center in the winter (#32)
  • take a winter nature walk (#40)
  • see how many plants you can find outside (#38)
  • look for bird nests in the trees (#57)
  • do some winter bird watching (#71)
  • watch for animals (#54)

Kids enjoy our PJ’s, Paws, and Popcorn Movie Night while you enjoy a night out! Drop the kids off in their favorite PJ’s along with a sleeping bag and pillow and we’ll provide the rest!

Evening includes:

  • Meet & greet with a touchable critter

Have you ever wanted to learn how to crochet? What a better way to learn how to crochet than while drinking craft beer at our Wildlife Rehabilitation Center?! Join us for a night of craft beer, crocheting, and a critter guest. You will be taught crochet basics and how to crochet a nest that will aid wildlife rehabilitators in helping birds in need.

Each ticket includes crochet materials (crochet hook and yarn), crochet lesson, two craft beers, and animal interaction. This event is intended for adults. Event Date: November 20, 2020

Deck the Howls is a part of our larger Animal Tales Reading Program, and the idea is simple – children are invited to share the holiday spirit with adoptable pets by cozying up in their favorite pajamas and reading holiday stories to furry friends. Event Date: December 17, 2020
